The CSST is appropriate for an experienced journey-level craft professional seeking a path into the safety profession. The trainee must complete the entire Field Safety and Safety Technology curriculum for this credential.
This course is designed for the project personnel responsible for safety on the job site, and specifically to provide field managers the expertise to understand safety to a high degree. This program helps supervisors develop the knowledge and skills to fulfill those responsibilities and be an effective leader. By completing this program, students will understand how safety supervisor responsibilities apply to the construction industry.
This course offers basic safety and is designed to provide all trainees with an awareness of hazards they may encounter on the job site. Amongst the topics discussed are personal protective equipment (PPE), accident and incident reporting, general site safety, general construction hazards, hazard communication, and safety policy and programs.
